The surface of kraft paper, coated paper and tissue paper is porous and has poor flatness. When the solution or lotion of anti adhesion agent is directly coated, the anti adhesion agent (organic silicone oil) will penetrate into the paper, and it is not easy to get a uniform thickness coating. Therefore, before applying anti adhesive agents, a layer of polyethylene coating is generally hot-melt coated on the surface of these paper substrates, with a thickness of several micrometers to about 10 micrometers.

The polyethylene coated paper obtained in this way has a smooth and shiny surface, low permeability, and improved water resistance.

When applying the anti sticking agent (organic silicone oil) solution onto the surface of the polyethylene coating, it is easy to obtain a thin and uniform anti sticking coating.
But the coating of PE also brings the disadvantage of reduced heat resistance. At present, most of the anti sticking paper produced in Chinese industry uses this type of paper substrate.
